no worries, normally I check for CB but it is busy day here. Glad you got it covered. On the firebug questions really you would need to visit some sites that explain that. YOu probably also want at plugin called web developers plugin. That rules to for chasing down CSS issues.

Great! Thanks. I will check out web developers plugin. I think I understand what I'm seeing in Firebug, I just need to learn CSS more. I learned HTML back when CSS was unheard of.

Cheers!

Brian,
I was having the same issue as Swiftek when I installed Shoutbox and the solution that you gave worked for that, but I am still having problems with the Moo's Online when in the Fireboard Forum component. I assume it is a similar issue, but am can not find the code that will allow me to point to the new Moo...js file. I'm probably looking in the wrong place, so if you can point me to the right file I will leave you alone.

I have looked in the components/com_fireboard/fireboard.php and checked a couple of others but they were obviously not right either.

My website is www.TwinCitiesSpoke.com

hello,
Your site is on a host that will not allow the joomla config file to be incuded on the ajax file that is included

Hit this page and look at the error

http://www.twincitiesspoke.com/modules/mod_moolet_online/mod_moolet_online.inc.php

Nothing I can do with that.

sorry

Hey, thanks for looking at this so quickly. I am confused as to why the Moolet works unless we are on the forum. Sorry for being so dense, but I am just trying to sort all this out.

Line 54 has this comment:
Code: :

// you can remove this line below or comment out language file if your host does not allow file includes on an ajax call

Should I comment it out then? What will happen if I do?

thanks,
Tim

that was bad advice on my part as there is a second include
that would need commented out, being the joomla config. Then
if that is commented out one would have to hard code all the
data_base_ variables into the file which is a bit of work and not
exactly a great security feature.

Some of the php.ini settings of hosting companies to no lend to
die hard application develompment. I use mostly dedicated servers
but have had great luck with shared hosting at crystaltech.com.
I have not had any joomla component fail with there settings so
far. But how knows, that could change to.
