Do you have to adjust any parameters to make fb forum / categories / topics slide down vertically (similar to moolet fb / online)? Maybe this question does not belong in this post, but could not decide where to post it and hence I placed it here along with the other fb related posts. Thanks.

This has been asked a few times, the Joomla fireboard MooTools slide is a custom MooTools code job. I can not make that a module becaase each target panel name could be different for every site. Plus you have to edit the fireboard code by hand to make it work anyway.

I have a great example with some free code at www.ploplets.com you can look at to see how I did this.

Then from there you can view source on the forum home page here and see where I added stuff and how.

If this is for a client of yours I can give you a quote to do this on a per site basis.

Also note fireboard comes with a little jQuery installed, and it is a bad idea to mix _frame_works, like Mootools and jQuery on the same page, but I did it anyway.

Good Luck

Hi Brian,

The slide in works great for your 3 areas and I absolutely love it at first sight...

After extensive testing of your implementation of moolets in your forum, I have decided not to implement it in my site for the following reasons that you may already be aware of:

- the mySlide_x (x=1,2,3) works great upon first loading of your forum page
- however, when you collapse these myslide_x sections, the sections do not get compressed completely as do other sections where myslide_x is not implemented
- moreover, if I collapse those sections where myslide_x is not implemented and myslide_x is implemented and I move away from the forum page and come back to the forum page, then I cannot expand those sections in which myslide_x is implemented.

I hope my de_script_ion is not too confusing and easy to replicate at your end.

So, in summary, as much as I absolutely love the sliding in effect and how you have implemented it, I agree with you that implementation of the mootools _base_d effects do conflict with jquery and are probably the cause for such issues.

I would be happy to test anything else that you may require.

Thanks again and great work.
Mahesh
