Joomla 1.5 has a different structure for making data_base_ calls. I have all that worked out, however it does not function on a page called in via AJAX (which we do in mootoos). I need to find another way, which I know exists as I see in the Community Builder for 1.5 there is a AJAX driven username checker. I need to reverse engineer that as the next step. My guess is you are at least two weeks out on a Beta.
