is there a module suffix for moolet fb? 11 Months ago
Similar to a module suffix for moolet moo's online, is there a module suffix parameter for the moolet fb? I would prefer my visitor stats to all follow the same module class suffix (as provided by my template) if possible so that they are consistent. Thanks in advance for your help.

I had played with that on and off and here is the trouble. The moolets uses AJAX to load info dynamically. so for this to work the AJAX has to know the name of the target div. If you add a suffix to the css id's or classes it would break the target of the ajax call.

However seems like on one or two of the modules I added the class back in but only applied it to the module casing if you will to keep it looking like your site.

Is that what you need?

Can you send me a URL so I can go peek?

thanks

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your prompt response and the excellent tools. I absolutely love moolets, a unique use of mootools...
I am working on my own site - http://www.sangamam.org, a community portal that is intended to connect people and organizations. I have adopted the latest populus theme from rockettheme and as you can my site is still work in progress.

I used the mootools online in the home page to give total stats and I am trying to use the mootools fb in the forums page to give fb stats. Ideally, I would like to use the same module class suffix for all stats zones so that over a period of time, any user's eye and brain are trained to recognize what they are seeing, kind of like color coding _base_d on what it is. The populus theme offers 7 module hilites and I am using one of those for the stats zones.

All I want is to use the same module class suffix for all stats modules and get the same look and feel.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mahesh

Mahesh,
I added the module subclass and uploaded as version 1.0.4. If you are handy with basic code you could copy line 26 in the mod_moolet_online_fb._xml_ file into your 1.0.3. Then open the module admin and save it twice, then the setting should show up, that is a lot easier then delete version 1.0.3 and reuploading 1.0.4

Here is the line:

Also,
you are loading two mootools files into your site which is bad. The Populus template seems to have a version called "mootools-release-1.11.js" and then you are loading the moolets "mootools.v1.11.js". I would just turn off the mootools load in the moolet. If the template file is fully packed this will work great. If the moolet fails then the template file is not fully packed. Then replace the template file with my copy and all will be swell in Joomla land.

Let me know how all this works out...

Brian

Hi Brian,

Thanks a lot. moolets_online_fb_1.0.4 works gr8. I uninstalled 1.0.3 and installed 1.0.4 with the desired module class suffix and it works like a charm.

Also, per your suggestion, I turned off calling mootools within moolets since mootools is already packed into the populus template. After this change, the moolets work fine too.

Thanks again,
Mahesh
